                                                              Spring Happenings

Sunday was the first day of spring here in Boston. We got 2-3 inches of snow, so glad it is over and melted. I love this time of year, new life, flowers growing, green returning, everything is awake. I am eagerly waiting to get my flowers planted as well as our vegetable garden. We have a lot of work ahead of us in our home, between the yard and our home. This will be the first spring that all of the kids are in school, which gives me time to get things going.

On the surrogacy update! We have been matched with a wonderful couple. I was so extremely nervous to talk to them for the first time. It went so well once we had our ice breaking few questions. Soon after we met face to face, it was great!! I am so glad we fell in love with our first choice! Now we are waiting on the next steps of the process. With the paperwork I believe all out of the way, on to the nitty gritty. We have scheduled our screening for next month, which is the other part I am nervous about. Hopefully the two days will go by fast and we can move onto the next step. I will make sure to update once we have gotten through the next step.

We have been meal planning for about 6 or 7 months now and it is so good! We are eating better and changing up what we eat. We have picky eaters so trying new recipes can be stressful. The ones they have liked, they really like! I am definitely not stuck on any specific method of meal planning yet. I would also like to incorporate coupons into my shopping. Hopefully over the next few months I can do that and save even more money! Did I mention you save money meal planning! We spend an average of $130 a week to feed a family of five. So it is definitely working for us!

New Adventures

On to new things, lets see what is so new that we can make a whole new Blog about it..... Well we as a family have decided that we are going to help a family. I am going to be a Gestational Carrier for someone. This means I am going through the process to carry a baby for a couple. We are excited to start this new adventure. I am currently waiting to speak to a potential match. There is definitely a lot of waiting. I began the application process in April 2015, and finally got to the process of my profile being out there to be chosen in December of 2015. So this year will be the start of the actual process. I can not wait to proceed from here. I am mostly going to use this blog to update how this process is going. Also for meal planning updates, and cool DIY's, fun organizing, etc. So if you are interested in any of these things follow and come on my adventure with my family.

This was a recent visit to the Ipswich Wildlife Sanctuary. It was so fun! We saw a lot of deer, and birds. The kids had a nice hour and a half walk through the woods. There are birds that will come down and eat seed right from your hand ( The picture below). It was very cold, so that made the trip a bit shorter. We plan to go back again in the spring. Hope you enjoy the photos.
